BIRCH CABIN Birch cabin was built in 1948 by Grampa Myrl and neighbor Walt Yokum. Sisters Sharlene and Beverly helped peel the logs. There are two large bedrooms, each with a queen bed. The bathroom has a single-size jetted tub, the kitchen has tile countertops and the living room has large picture windows that offer a panoramic view of the lake.

There is a fire pit surrounded by a stand of old cedars--Just walk out the door and cross a small bridge to come to this very private place.

About Our Cabins

All of our cabins here at Heston's are completely outfitted for housekeeping. The modern cabins have full kitchens, with gas or electric ranges, refrigerator, microwave, dishes and silverware, pots and pans, and dishsoap. They are heated with gas furnaces and also have a fireplace woodstove in each living room. Bed linens and towels are provided.

Our cabins are on secluded, wooded lakeshore lots. Most of them have decks that overlook Gunflint Lake. A wood-burning sauna is available for our guests.
