Birch cabin was built in 1948 by Grampa Myrl Heston and neighbor Walt Yokum. Sisters Sharlene and Beverly, at ages 12 and 16, helped peel the logs. This cabin is set about fifty feet from the lake, and the large picture windows afford an excellent view.
The Jotul woodstove has a retractable door, with a screen that can be set in place to provide the sights and sounds of the fire. Electric storage and propane furnaces heat the cabin.
There are two large bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. The bathroom has a shower and tub combo.
There is a fire pit surrounded by a stand of old cedars--Just walk out the door and cross a small bridge to enjoy this very private place.
