Diamond Willow was built in 1973 by Sharlene and Chuck. There are three bedrooms. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a full-size bed and a twin bed, the other has a pair of twins. The kitchen/dining room has lodge pole pine flooring, Mexican tile countertops and breakfast bar with a row of windows facing the lake. The bathroom has a vintage art deco pedestal sink that a cousin salvaged from Chicago City Hall. Mayor Daley probably used it to wash his hands. The screen porch is a mere 15 feet from the water's edge.

About Our Cabins

All of our cabins here at Heston's are completely outfitted for housekeeping. The modern cabins have full kitchens, with gas or electric ranges, refrigerator, microwave, dishes and silverware, pots and pans, and dishsoap. They are heated with gas furnaces and also have a fireplace woodstove in each living room. Bed linens and towels are provided.

Our cabins are on secluded, wooded lakeshore lots. Most of them have decks that overlook Gunflint Lake. A wood-burning sauna is available for our guests.
