Cedar Point Cabin

At Cedar Point, you can start a summer day by watching the sunrise.   The many windows provide excellent views of the lake in three directions.  The living room is approximately twenty feet from the shore, making it a wonderful spot to watch for loons in the spring, summer and fall, and wolves in the winter.

The cabin was built in 1946 by Grampa Myrl Heston and family. Later additions were built in the 1950's and 1960's.  The kitchen and living room were remodeled in 2006.  We added a birch floor, from trees harvested mainly during the blowdown storm of 1999.  A window in the kitchen was uncovered to bring more light into the main workstation.  We added tile countertops and a new range.  The two bedrooms each have a full-size bed, and the bathroom has a shower.

The west facing deck gives you a front row seat to watch the setting sun.  A campfire circle is right outside the cabin.

Cedar Point cabin is closed for the winter, from January 3 to May 10, 2024.

Base rates are for two people, per night or per week.

Children ages 5-16 are half the adult rate, after the first two people.

Under 5 years, no charge.  We have cribs and a high chair for your convenience.
