Changes at Heston’s Lodge Due to Covid 19.

Heston’s Lodge, like everywhere else in the world, has had to make changes due to the Covid 19 pandemic.  Those changes include the following:

  •  Cleaning procedures:  We are enhancing our cabin cleaning procedures in accordance with the best practices documents that we have found available from the local, state, and federal levels.  If you would like more specific information, or if you have particular concerns, please give us a call and we can tell you the details.

  •  Store procedures:  Since our store is also our home, we thought carefully through the choices that we have made.  We ask that everyone use hand sanitizer before entering, and we have a bottle of it right outside the door.  Masks are optional.  We maintain social distancing in our space, and we ask that no more than four visitors are inside at a time.  We ask that indoor visits be kept short.  We have also modified our store hours, so that we are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., usually.

  •  Bread Oven:  This year, we are firing the bread oven on Thursdays, through August. We are changing the traditions of the past, in that we are only providing pizza crusts. We ask that guests supply their own sauce and toppings, and that you prepare the pizza yourself, and then bring it to us to bake it in the oven. We have resumed baking ciabatta prior to the pizza bake. As an alternative option, Loon Lake Lodge prepares and sells Take and Bake Pizza, which could be ordered ahead, and you could pick it up to bring to our oven. Here is a link to their website: https://visitloonlake.com/images/Pizza2021.pdf Thank you for your understanding.

  • Payment: We are happy to accommodate any requests for payment arrangements during your visit that you feel most comfortable with.  Please let us know if you have a specific way that you would like to handle it.

Our main desire is to help everyone have a wonderful vacation, free from the stresses that the pandemic has brought on.  How that looks for you may be different than it will for other cabin guests.  We want to respect your choices, so please let us know what your concerns and needs might be.  We firmly believe that being in the woods, breathing the fresh clean air, is the best possible place to be.

And most of all, we look forward to seeing you!

Thank you for choosing to stay with us—We very much appreciate it!
